5 Movies of Reese Witherspoon you must Watch

Reese Witherspoon is America’s sweetheart; she is a Southerner, she is blonde, she is intelligent and extremely feisty, and in all her movies she looks adorable. The lovely actress had just celebrated her birthday and Friday Fans thinks it is time to list 5 of her best movies.

Legally Blonde

A blonde sorority queen after being termed as dumb by her boyfriends decides to go to law school and win him back. Elle Woods rallies against everything that is proverbially Harvard. The best thing about this movie is that Elle stays true to her core and wins hearts of everyone. At the end she tells all the intellectual snobs that everyone who stays true to his or her character can win any battle.

A movie which showcases Reese Witherspoon’s talent, this movie is a biographical drama which depicts a 1,100 mile hike of a woman. Unable to cope with her failed marriage and the death of her husband, Cheryl Strayed makes a rash decision to hike without absolutely any experience in hitchhiking. The solo journey helps her in the journey of self-discovery.

What will be your reaction when you are transported into the era of black and white? When two 1990s teenagers are transported to a sitcom of 1950s, there are bound to be some clashes. Jennifer aka Reese is mainly concerned with her appearance, while Toby aka David finds a lot of friends, watches television and is considered as a socially misfit. But the film is extremely relevant, as it helps you to discover a lot of truths about your identity. Eventually, when they discover their identities, the entire town becomes coloured.

Walk the Line

Among the many films she has done, it would be a sin to miss Walk the Line, the film which won her an Oscar. She played the role of June Carter, the singer who with whom Johnny Cash falls in love with. The romance that began early continued for nearly four decades. Reese portrayed the character of June with great sensitivity which makes it a must-watch.

This is one of the first movies where critics started taking note of Reese Witherspoon. Her character in Freeway was so very different from all her romantic roles. This modern day Red Riding Hood was haunted by a wolfish predator, and eventually Reese gets away with her smouldering performance. Even critics agreed that this was definitely one of Reese’s best performances.
