First Look of Anushka Sharma’s ‘Pari’

Anushka Sharma’s production house has always believed in backing projects with out-of-the-box storylines.  Be it NH 10, the road movie with a twist or the quirky Phillauri, the emphasis is more on the content and less on the glamour quotient. As a producer she has successfully dissolved the box and embraced topics which are  unconventional.

As Anushka Sharma shared her first look of ‘Pari’ in social media, cine lovers are completely taken aback by the de-glam freckled Anushka. The thrill quotient is further enhanced by the intense look of the movie poster. Her co-star Parambrata Chatterjee who was earlier seen in Vidya-Balan starrer Kahini is also enthusiastic about the gripping movie.

Anushka has never been affected with so-called Box Office success of her movies. She has clearly stated that the in  Clean Slate Movies it is their aim to ‘focus on a good, engaging storyline above all else’. She will do everything to promote new talent and encourage concepts which fuel on innovation and creativity.

Her earlier ventures like NH 10 was an absolute no-nonsense thriller where a fun road trip turns gory when the couple Anushka and Rajkumar Rao encounters the ugly truths of honor killing. What follows is a revenge drama where the woman instead of being the hapless victim decides to fight back. The storyline of Phillauri was a lease of fresh air in the mundane world of Bollywood horror movies. A mangalik boy marries a tree which is  haunted by the female ghost played by Anushka with an unfinished business. A laugh riot through and through, this movie has been amazingly conceptualized with healthy doses of humor and emotion.

‘Pari’ produced by Clean Slate Films in collaboration with KriArj Entertainment will be hitting the theatres next to you on February 9th, 2018.
