The 2:44 minute trailer of Kadwi Hawa (Dark Wind) makes sure to send its message loud and clear to the audience. The trailer shows the very talented actors Sanjay Misra and Ranvir Shorey as the lead cast who do not fail to promise us some outstanding performance from their part. Director Nila Madhab Panda has presented the current climatic situation and issues prevailing amidst the farmers of India so well. It is the first movie in India made on climatic issues.
We have often seen in the news heading about the suicide committed by the farmers in India but little do we go further deep into why are they doing so and what is the root cause and ways to eradicate it. They are just little headings for us but somewhere we are to be blamed for this. Though the movie’s set up is of the rural area but it is an eye opener for all the selfish urban people who for their comfort are putting the poor people’s life at stake.
Through the trailer we learn about two issues arising before the farmers, either drought or flood which is leading to destruction of the farms. The farmers are so much levied with financial pressure that they prefer to end their precious lives instead. We see a blind Sanjay Misra who can feel everything going around him and feeling so helpless about it. His village is suffering from drought wheras Ranvir Shorey is from Orissa and his village is suffering from flood. Both of them are adverse effects of global warming which is happening partly due to the lifestyle of urban people.
Twitter is full of positive comments about the trailer from Ajay Devgan, Emraan Hashmi , Ranvijay Singha are few of the many celebrities. These are a few stills from the trailer which has widely released and has already received around 1.1 million views.
In the end of the trailer we see Sanjay Misra saying , “Hamare zamane mein 4 alag alag disha se khushboo leke aati woh, ab na jaane kya hogaya usko, kaise bimaar hogayi who”. The dialogues just pore within you and awaken your soul.
