Pratim D. Gupta has finalized the cast of Ahare Mon, his latest venture. As Pratim lovingly talks about his film and his cast, he mentions that this is a love story, but with a twist. Let’s find out about the different characters in the movie.
Mamata Shankar, who played the role of mother in Maccher Jhol will be seen in a different mood in this movie. Her character will have more fun element with different layers. Parno Mitro will be paired with Ritwick in this movie. Parno is good with comedy, so the touch of comicality in Suzie will be something that the audience can wait for. With Ritwick, Pratim plans to explore his understated sense of humour. Plus, Ritwick’s wit will add a dash of colour to his character, Michael.
Chitrangada Chakraborty is the only new face in this ensemble cast. She will be playing the role of Titli, a young girl who according to Pratim will be the surprise package of the movie. And then of course you have the suave and debonair Anjan Dutt who will be chucking his glamorous avatar for a regular man with an extraordinary heart Barun Babu. In some of the other prominent roles, you will find Paoli Dam who according to Pratim is a brilliant actress and brings her own sensibility to all the roles she plays. Paoli will be donning the cap of an independent woman who lives life in an unapologetic manner. Adil Hussain who was the last actor to come on board plays the role of a lonely and content airport employee. When Pratim has initially thought about the character, he had Mithun in mind, but he is more-than-happy with Adil on board.
Now that the first leg of the schedule has rolled, it is time to see what Ahare Mon brings for the Bengali audience who are dying to see something different from Pratim D. Gupta once again.
