The Utterly Butterly Delicious take of Amul on PADMAVAT – I

Amul, the best FMGC brand of India is known for their quirky displayed advertisements. They always come up with something wacky going parallel to the contemporary issues. Their latest topical is on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama ‘Padmavati’. The film has Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in pivotal roles.

The film has created quite uproar among various fringe groups from the very first day of the release of the song ‘Ghoomar’, which resulted the movie to become a hot topic among the netizens. After the release of the song, anybody and everybody related to the movie, received criticisms, got bashed up in social media and even got life-taking threats.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) finally gave the movie a clean chit, suggesting four main modifications in the movie and the film’s title to be changed to Padmavat from Padmavati.

Sooner, this became a topic of a whirlpool of tweets, trolls and memes in social media and also became the talk point of various online discussion forums. With such a situation going on, it is only expected that Amul will have something satirical in their bag.

Amul’s advertisements are hilarious and brilliantly made. You can say that their displayed ads can speak a 1000 words. Among the intense hullabaloo and the commotion on Padmavat – I, the creative minds of Amul is out with something unique and funny from their kitty.

The film is an adapted version of a 16th century epic poem, Padmavat by Malik Muhammad Jayasi and that’s why the suggested change in the name

The movie was earlier set to release on 1st December 2017. The news of the movie getting into trouble came as a blow to the fans, the release was pushed back. But now that CBFC has given the movie a thumbs up, the movie will soon be on the big screen creating the magic of cinema.
